In an interview with Ben Lee years ago, I remember Lee saying he preffered acoustic guitars because he thought an acoustic guitar produced a harder, edgier sound than an electric guitar. At times, the same aesthetic is present on the dodos new album, Time to Die. Though “Fables” doesn’t have quite the nervy edge much of the record has, the song is highly contagious.
